Yeah ive only been recording for about a week, i bought the Delta 44 sound card and The Yamaha MG12/4..for my pc i have 3.0 ghz and lots of ram, and for my laying down tracks and editing im using Cool Edit Pro 2.0. I just started recording my band with all this stuff within two days algo..Heres my link to my song im working on(its not done at all lol)

That was mestdude a couple of days ago... Yes, I am bored and have been up all night... He was trying to trade a copy of Nuendo as well. I wonder... However, here's a copy of the Sonar manual, mestdude and all those who somehow managed to install (and lose) their copy of Sonar, if you all still need one... You can have mine cover to cover... You needn't worry about paying for it, because I already have... Sorry, but they are condensed versions for the web, but I am sure you won't mind, it's free!

I lost my credit card. Would you mind giving me the numbers off of yours? I don't need the actual credit card - just the numbers (oh, and the expiration date, too). Thanks.

My mixes really suck. I figure with your credit card I can get lots of cool stuff to make my mixes better.

oh vicevursa.....
up late at night, scanning his manuals....

I'm still up... I am so sleepy! That's what I get. I Just purchased Midisport 8x8, Delta 1010, Keystation Pro 88, and Sonar 3 Producer... Learning curve is steep, wallet is a bit light, as well, but I have been looking forward to getting this stuff (or equivalent) for years - just waiting in my monitors. Big step up from SoundBlaster, finally! I got midi data flowing, I think I kinda understand the Delta 1010... I was online looking up info on latency/sonar/delta 1010 and trying to figure out how to use ASIO drivers... That's when I came to my favorite bbs and found mestdude's post! Anyway, if I ever get done with work I will be right back at it again! No sleep until I get a handle on this new equipment...

i was just asking if theres a manual of sonar 3 online somewhere, im not asking for your sonar serial number or credit card lol God this Thread is funny!

everybody is assuming that you have an illegal copy of sonar 3 since you said you "got a copy from a friend". Getting copies of software doesn't fly around here so just to clear up. Did you buy the software off your friend and thus he does not have it now and you do? or did you get a copy from a friend as in you both have the same serial number?

Viceversa:
get some sleep man.... or get some coffee

From his other posts, it's clear that his version is either hacked or stolen. I'm not buyin' the "my copy was stolen" BS.

Chris- Cakewalk offers their software with minimal copy protection because they understand that people will hack it no matter what and that dongles, PACE and other means of protecting software only result in headaches for the legal users. One way they fight against piracy is by only offering their manuals with their software and not as a PDF file online. Sorry, dude, looks like you're going to have to pony up some bucks and buy a copy of SONAR Power. Or...maybe you can wear your big overcoat into Border's and just slip it underneath...

Yeah, this thread is funny. Seeing a thief exposed and ridiculed is always a hoot!

That was funny...

Perhaps he should start a new thread: "Will trade Nuendo 2.0 manual for Sonar Producer manual" ... that seemed to be working for him before.

This is like the homeless guy that I used to run into all the time in Hardvard Square... he'd be sitting there with his little cup saying to each person passing by: "... got a quarter?... spare a quarter?". A QUARTER?!?! What if I don't have a quarter?!?!?! I got the distinct feeling he'd give me an attitude if I dropped a dime in that cup... so I didn't.

At least mestdude has a good defense when the federales come knocking -- "No sir, I didn't steal that software... I just asked for it...".

The built in help and tutorials on Sonar3 are way better than the manual.

Just an FYI for anyone reading this.

yeah i gotta copy from my friend, he burnt it for me and yes its the same serial number and ohwell i bought sonar once and theres no way in hell im paying fivehunderd bucks for it again and by the way when i got my sonar stolen my computer didnt have sonar in it at the time so whsat the fuck do i suppose to do...i paid for it once and im not paying for it again...sorry fuckin a

Dipshit - if your original copy was registered, why didn't you just ask Cakewalk for replacement media? If it wasn't registered, then you are an idiot and have learnt an important life lesson.

BTW - did you know that Cakewalk monitors the registration numbers of installed copies of all current products when they connect to the internet? Congratulations, you have probably just voided your original copy and your mates. The first thing you will notice is little things stop working until all the feature set is locked down. The second thing will probably be the letter from the lawyers...

Stop lying scumbag, say yourself the grief and just buy it.

Q.

how do you "lose" your copy of Sonar CD's? it not like i take mine around with me all day. they are in my desk where they stay, i barely ever use them....

not something i would misplace.

Wait there... so you are now using a "copy" of a program, so when you get caught (and yes Cakewalk staff do monitor this web site) you will need to pay a hefty fine.. from some web sites I've seen that could be anywere from $30 000 USD +.. and after paying that you still don't own the software.

It must be school holidays over in the States again...

Now if you were using this program before, you should know how to use it and not be here asking us for a copy of the manual. BTW, which version of the program did your friend buy?

And by the way, if your not going to pay for it again.. I don't think any of us are willing to help you.

(trust me, this is mild from me for these types of posts  )

I am still pissed at viceversa for not putting the manual online in full and for free. I still remember when this BBS was really helpful.

No, it's more like you're asking for Greg Hendershott's wallet!

You've told a different lie in almost every post, no mean feat!

It's remarkable to me that you thought people here would either be stupid enough not to see through you or irresponsible enough to help you anyway.

Oh well, it wouldn't matter anyway. Even if people offered you help with information or suggestions on how to improve your mixes, I'm sure it wouldn't matter. You'll still suck!

Hey! Here's an idea- Why bother trying to write and record music of your own anyway? Just get some CDs and copy them into SONAR and then put your name on them. If you're felling creative (unlikely) you could always add some reverb or delay or something to make it seem original. My suggestion is to pick up the CDs at the 99¢ Store- no one listened to those anyway so you won't be likely to get caught. Then when you have a big hit and you're being interviewed in a magazine and they want to know what you used to make the song you can tell them "Oh, I just stole the tunes from some old CDs and imported them into my stolen software and then tweaked them using suggestions from others because I'm too stupid do come up with anything original!" No doubt, you'll become an international superstar for overcoming the limitations imposed on the rest of society who are under the misapprehension that success should require hard work and integrity.

Good luck to you...

Now, get lost!

Ted
