I want to mixdown from a TASCAM 424 onto my pc for editing with Wavelab 3. Since wavelab only handles 2 channels, I guess I only need to go from the 2 RCA Line Out jacks of the recorder into a sound card. So, my question is what is an inexpensive card that will take these 2 connections?

thanks,

Adam

if you dont really care about fidelity, a trip to radioshack and a buck-fifty could make your two RCAs into a mini jack that'll stick into whatever peice of shite is in there now....

yeah, I had thought about that last night and even stopped to get one of those connectors for use until I got a soundcard, but the RS was gone! Replaced with some stitching store or something. Where the hell have I been?

Anywah, I'll find one today and see how it holds up, but I still want a better card...

thanks camn,

Adam

I'm looking at the SB Live! Platinum mainly because of it's two RCA inputs. The SB Gamer and MP3 are like half the price, but don't have these RCA inputs.

New Question: If I were to get the Gamer or MP3, is there an adapter available the would go from RCA to the cards input? I don't mean a radioshack converter, but one that won't produce any real noticable drop in quality.

thanks,
