Getting this for a small church, so price is somewhat of an issue. Any ideas? Thanks!

If the source is already digital, why not go from the source directly to the computer/usb? Skipping the CD part, or doing that after it's in the computer...

Pinky hit my thoughts exactly. Get the digital info in the computer and use the CD Recorder in the box. Even if you have to convert the file format to get to WAV or AIF, it becomes fairly easy to use, say, Sony CD Architect or any number of other softwares along that line to get the info to the computer's internal disk drive.

Just about any cd recorder will have both a digital in AND a digital out. You can take your digital signal, run it into the cd burner and then hook the output (digital or analog) to an audio interface to get it into the computer in real timestate.

However, the better idea would be simply record to the computer, then burn the cd.

Err? If the digital source is say S/PDIF then OP will need an interface to get it into a PC. The i02 Express would serve him fine.

"Output to USB"...Output into what?

But yes, AFAICS our two Top Chaps have nailed it. Just need a PC with CD burner and an AI.

Dave.
