It looks like a black RE-20 from ElectroVoice to me.

To me it looks like one of the newer RE 27s by EV.

I haven't done any mic shopping since the 80s, so anything newer than that is lost on me.



For me it's all RE-20s, Crown PZMs, Shure SM57s et al.

Guess I'm set in my ways when it comes to mics.

yep, it's an RE27. the cosmetic difference between the RE27 and RE20 is that the 27 is more of a shiny chrome and the 20 is more of a matte grey. that, and the "holes" on the 27 are a little more "angular". they're both "current" mics and are both listed on EV's webpage.
