I was flicking through some pics of the live lounges on BBC radio1 and I came across this pic. I've spotted the 57 on the snare, and what looks like an Oktava MC012 on the hat. Love how brave they are with distances. Definatly going to be trying further distances on my next drum session.
ANYWAY!
back to my point. I notices some strange looking things above the 2 toms, like a stereo mic of sorts. I've seen a few of these for broadcast and stuff but never on a kit before.
I'd love to know what they are and whether they are being used to pick up the cymbals as well.
All info is welcome, I'm really intrigued!
