How much time do you spend on the net compaired to actually recording/experimenting/learning for yourself(seriously ,what percent?),i find it difficult to take the advice seriously of those folk who seem to be permanently replying to peoples questions

it HOME recording. Most of us are not pro's and don't claim to be. I am at my day job right now and i come to this website to kill time, learn something and share what i know. Yes, if i had a million dollar pro studio that was constantly booked, i probobly wouldn't be here.

maybe you should try this website if it's credability you're looking for. Don't expect to many freindly replies though:

ha ha nice reply ding dong. i was expecting to see that the naked truth is this: its a great site with a wealth of information. you can find gems in every part of this site.

i just solved an annoying ground loop problem with 20-plus foot rca cables im using to send my monitor mixer signal across the room to a stereo system with advice given on this site.

whats that information worth? i can now switch between my monitors and my stereo system and the little hum is gone.

its a wonderful resource.

This thread is kind of like a hanging curve ball... anybody else gonna take a swing?

it was a question

are you too embarassed to reply properly?

...in over two years on the site - you've just now decided that it's not worthwhile...?
....guess that you didn't put very much into the BBS.....what did you expect to get out of it?

being that I work 8 hours a day, i'm probobly on this site for about 1-2 hours a day. I probobly end up with a recording project about every couple weeks, be it recording my band at practice or recording a demo for another band. lets say that takes about 5 hours every two weeks. I listen to music for about 4 hours of my day every day. let me get my calculator... four hours times thirty one days (since this is june) plus 10 hours a month actualy recording, lets throw in time i spend tuning my drums, maybe thats an hour a month.. divide that by 1 an hour on this site a day (not including weekends) and you end up with....

...you do the math asshole! it's your question!

ive spent very little time on the forums compared to how much time ive spent on music. the thing about these forums is you can have fun and learn and get inspired or overcome inertia. some people need a daily fix and some go on sprees.

kaminari you seem to want a confrontation but it doesnt seem like anybody considers you to be worth the trouble.

are you trying to get the big row of red chicklets or what?

Arsehole. Many of us have our computers right in our studio. But being the whiny little bitch that you are, if nobody responded to anything, you'd say you wish there was a forum where people can interact and learn about recording.

Well, that's what this is, you pathetic, angry little piece of garbage.

Oh, by the way....Go fuck yourself, dickless.:p

Being New To This Site I Find There Is Alot Of Good Information As Well As Helping Other People Out And Defently A Good Place To Get A Laff Or Two And During Recording Sometimes You Get A Blok And Just Need To Clear Your Head So You Come Here And Shoot The Shit

I pop in here daily before and usually after my almost daily gigs where I play music.
I spend anywhere from 4 to 8 hours a day playing music for my income ..... virtually none recording since I'm too busy gigging, and probably an average of an hour a day online between here and the 'other' site.
I doubt anyone gives a shit whether you regard the advice given here as useful or not. If you don't think it's useful then please go away and hang yourself.

I replay to stuff:
1. while the computer is chunking away on something, like a 50 track mix that takes 5 minutes to render

2. while the band is trying to figure out how to play their own song

3. first thing in the morning before anything is happening here

4. after a session when i'm trying to wind down and get the songs out of my head so I can go to sleep

5. when there is no session

6. while I'm listening to takes

7. etc...

Go away Kramijeero....you are disturbing our Feng Shui...and no one can record with that all fucked up....

BTW....Most of us here have LINKS in our signature to our stuff....where is yours?

Hey Spit!! Hows the day going for ya?:D

Really good True, thankyou. I hear you have a new space/songs a happening?
