hey thanks guys!!!! i figured i'd take my time and do research. also the more time it takes me to research products, the more money i'll save up. then i'll be in a different price range with higher quality. it's becoming quite apparent that with "most" music gear, you get what you pay for. if you buy a $100 preamp, that's what you'll get.
i see it this way, if i pay a hundred bucks for a piece of equipment. and find that i don't miss the hundred bucks, then i obviously won't miss the equipment if it's crap. i honestly think manufacturers think the same way. the "eh, it's only a hundred bucks, they won't miss it if it's crap" mentallity. but on the other hand if i spend $400 - $600 on a piece of equipment, it damn well better be good, and surpass it's warranty by a long shot.
