Just another guy, really.
Going to look at Fender Deluxe amp that has issues (not vintage) and the same young man has a Behringer Xenyx 1222FX and a Nady drum mic kit. He wants $200 for them both, which is too much- new they would cost me about $270. I am thinking going $100, tops? What be the highest I should pay? Don't need either- have very similar stuff already, but the mixer has built-in effects (none of mine do) and the mics could come in handy.

Nady drum mic kit? $10. All the Nady mics I've used are pretty horrible for drum miking.

Pretty much everything is wrong with their condensers---the pickup pattern is too tight, the highs are too bright and sizzle too much, the lows are nonexistent, etc.

The DM90 is a really lousy kick mic, so the DM80 is likely to be even worse.

I don't know what the tom mics sound like.

Bottom line is that probably every dollar you spend on them is a dollar flushed down the toilet on mics that you will quickly conclude are not worth using. Worse, you will likely spend years as I did trying to make sound good before you finally replace them with better mics and have an epiphany.... My advice would be to not bother buying them at all and save your money for something usable. I'd suggest a D112, a pair of MK-012s (look for them used), maybe an SM57 as a snare mic, and some of these pairs or similar for toms.

Stay away from the Nady drum mics. Horrible is the only word that comes to mind.
