N00b an the block

Hi all, just found this place and from what I've read already, it looks like I'm going to be spending quite some time here. I've played guitar since I was a teenager (many moons ago) starting writing songs and even managed to get one of them released on a compilation in 1997. Then developed a repetitive strain type injury that stopped me playing altogether until a few weeks back when I plucked up the courage to try again. Very little experience in home recording but planning to start in a couple of weeks. Any Yamaha AW1600 users here, didn't see a dedicated thread so just wondering. That's the kit I will be using and could use any tips or advice that you guys might have. It will be mainly guitar and vocals stuff at first but would like to add, additional instruments like bass, drums, keys later. So just wanted to say Hi

There isn't a particular listing of threads devoted to the AW1600, but it is probably one of the most frequently mentioned standalone multitrack recorders I've seen pop up here and there on the board. If you search by title or by entire thread, you should find an overabundance of info. Also, don't hesitate to ask questions, especially here in the newb area, and also search for broader topics - a lot of these concepts are similar (if not the same), regardless of what machine you are actually using to record. So, dig in!
