Welcome to the board, Jay! Don't about your mystery knob, but I'f keep it under wraps for sure.
 
look on the emg website and i think you will find they call thiis a turbo boost, it will give you up to 20db of boost same as the emg pa2
 
JB~ I'm not sure how you ended up with that knob, but stop turning it already, it's getting annoying.

Just dime it and leave it alone...okay?

Hehe, thanks for the welcome guys :D

On the EMG site they call it a gain boost. I must have got a custom mod guitar that someone ordered and didn't pickup.

Not a bad score I think for $500 CDN. Was so new it had plastic still on the pickups.
