Hey daveskey,

Your wife definitely has a very sweet voice, I particulary like the harmonies!
The vocals are a little flat in pitch here and there, but that is a point of constructive criticism.

The guitar sound could do with a little more in the lows to give it a little more fullness! Perhaps even double tracking the guitar will give it more body!

I enjoyed my listen, nice work davesky and Mrs davesky!

Gorty :)

thanx for the feedback...dont let my wife hear you say she was flat....she'd kill you!!! only joking. all feedback is positive in my opinion.
thanks again.

anyone else?

A little pitchiness on the vocals, but nothing major...it gets more solid as the tune progresses...Mrs Davesky has a nice voice. Harmonies are nice. A second guitar would fill it out but it stands up nicely as is... I'm just repeating everything Gorty said (lol) Cool arrangement.....enjoyed this..... :) :) :)

A great voice Mrs. daveskey...!!! I love your vox!! It isn't her voice where in the problem lies but the settings when recording....with the exception of maybe backing off the back here and there...I am not too good at it myself!!

It is too bright on the vox I think...and the volume is flucuating...and they jump up front away from the guitar a bit too much....of course if I am the one recording, I like to bury my own vocals in the music and reverb!! So you may be wise not to listen to my advice....LOL!!!

I like the guitar also...I think an elec. acoustic bass would sound nice, I don't know why no one uses them very much on acoustic pieces....they really sound nice in my opinion....more fullness it seems..

Kudos!!!!

TRUE :)

Really enjoyed it - she certainly has a great voice, and I love the live feel to it all. I agree about the guitar perhaps needing a little more fullness, but apart from that I think you and your wife did a great job. From one guy with a singing wife to another - nice work! :)

thanx

thanks for all the kind words guys...i hope to improve my mixes with each attempt.
next on our list is the great carpenters tune - You're the one i love.
will try and post it when it's done.
thanks again
DAVE

Just a matter of interest, but do Soundclick allow you to upload covers now? I remember when I used to put stuff on there with my wife we were thinking of putting some up but it always said they were illegal and would be removed. Do you have to get permission?
