Here's what I got put together for a Studio.

Gigasampler (in 2nd computer, dedicated)

1st) Computer System w/ Cakewalk Sonar Music Software
AMD 1.4 ghz, 512 mb, 30 GB HD, ATI Radeon, Soundblaster Live, 12X10X32 CDRW, DVD, Dual 19" monitors

2nd) Computer system w/Gigasampler and Soundblaster Live w/ Live! Drive, AMD k-62, 450 mhz, 125mb, 10 GB HD, 15" monitor.....also is running Cakewalk Pro Audio 9

3rd) Computer system w/ Texture 2.0 Midi Sequencer and Roland MPU-401 interface. IBM clone, 640k, 20 MB HD, Amber monitor ( basically an early 1980's computer that I had to write music at that time)

Well, the 2nd computer was supposed to be for my wife to use but, then I changed my mind. The computer was better suited for Gigasampler than for her emails.

Thats exactly what I do.

one for midi, one for audio. I surf the web and send email through my company's laptop. :)
