ok heres what i got

Each carpeted rehearsal room has double 5/8 sheetrock on both sides of the common walls, fiberglass batt insulation, and one inch of bonded sound board on three walls. This means there is a 7 3/4" wall between you and any other rehearsal room!! High ceilings make even our smaller rooms feel big, and provide you with the proper ambience you need.

the room is about 15 X15 or 15X16... high open cealings..

since this is the drum forum i was wondering what the best way to record the drums would be.. we are a hard rock metal group... we would like to record all at once (the music) then add vocals later.. what ideas would you have as far as isolating the drums from the sounds of our amps?? and what micing situations would you suggest? im kinda low on mics right now

i have one SM57 some EV mic. and a instrument mic that will snap on to any drum. any suggestions on placement of the mics?? or anythin to make the drums sound heavyer or just more crisp for the recording..

i just need to know it all!

what are some EV mic.? How many EV mics? If you only have mics you're gonna have to go direct with guitars. That means you'll need direct boxes. You have no condense mics so there's no way you can mic the room. We need more info. What are you recording to?

its some EV mic.. thats the brand.. and one. im ercording to my Tascam Studio 8 Reel to Reel 8 track recording studio

so you're micing your drum set i guess with 3 mics and you still need DI boxes

i can line the amps into the back of the tascam it has both mic and line in options on each track

I would usually say sm57 on snare and 2 condensers overhead, but you don't have condenser. anybody else have ideas?

Do you know how to search the internet? There's a lot of info out there. How do you think most of us learned....by researching on our own! I suggest you research and then come back and post a question that hasn't been answered a million times.

ohh im sorry ithought this was a board for help, not assholes! im soo sorry for asking a question on a messageboard entitled

We've set up a number of message boards where people can discuss home recording questions and problems online in threaded discussions. So if you have a question, want to talk about your latest song, or whatever... join us here! The BBS is up 24 hours a day for your posting pleasure

I'm sorry you thought that I sounded like an asshole. I just wish people people would use the search field. A lot of people have spent their time answering such questions. And we should search through and use what they have previously written instead of makiing them answer the same questions over and over and over. But maybe you should have posted this in the newbie section.

Just checked this thread out,in response to a thread in the Visitor feedback forum about people flaming newbies!
Yup kielson, you were an asshole to the guy!
