That's how I want my studio to be when I'll buy the gear. The table I'm goin 2 give the dimensions to a carpenter to him to make it. The vocal booth I don't know If my mom let me put those walls on the room.. if not, I'll figure other solution. All the gear have his real sizes (cheked the specs of each one). I pretend to buy the gear on september or on the summer vacations (september cuz of my birthday will get $$$ + the cash that I've already saved.. summer if I'll work.. bit hard with 15, but i'll try)

Please give opinions :)
 
Two problems: you need symmetry around your mix position, and on the left you have one monitor in a corner (very bad), and the other monitor next to an open space with a sofa.

Second problem: the drawer with your gat is on the left. If you are left handed, you have to reach into the drawer, then reverse that movement while rotating 180 degrees toward the door. If you are right handed, it's even worse, since you lose time reaching across your body. You need to change the alignment with respect to the door to decrease your draw time ;)
 
Hi... thanks for awnsering... just one thing... what is "gat"?? didn't understand it.. sorry for my bad english... I think I used the wrong word to refer the "place-where-i-store-lots-of-stuff-and-has-a-kind-of-door-that-open-and-closes"... used the google translator... forgot to check on a diccionary, but don't have one atm, because you refered draw time and I just make music, not draws :X :S

btw and where I could put the monitors in the room to have a good sounding mix? Thanks again
 
well you said 'trigger finger' thus he said 'gat' (gun) (insert rap quote here, maybe nwa,or old ice cube)..

i really dont know where youd be able to put those monitors well.. thats rooms a little tight for optimum preformance,
but, youd still should be able to get a good mix.. just watch for a boomier left channel...
i mix with a similiar setup (not quite in the corner though)and i still get decent results ..

yor best setup would be no vocal booth(for optimum mixing).. but you probably want one of those.... just make them sing in the hallway into a mic with a jacket hung behind it.. that seems to keep the echo reverb down...

oh I understand... yeah its a small room... but guess I'll have no choise... tried already to put the table in diff spots for a better monitor placing and I always keep getting a corner or a wall or smth like that on a monitor

and about the vocal booth, like i said on the first post, i'm not sure if Ill make it with walls, instead i could a screen like this:

that link you posted wont do you any good. Do a search on this forum for "Gobos" The are panels you can build yourself that will absorb sound much better. If you cant find anything I can give you more information.
 
By the way, I was talking about the link to the curtain thing you posted.


Your second drawing looks a lot better. Is there any way you can remove that thing from the corner of the room? Could you perhaps put it up front in the center?
 
the thing in the corner is a coach... i tought that it will be nice and easier to show and share opinions with other people from whats happening on the pc... in the center it would be harder to do that, and does it mess with the sound absortion being on the corner?

about the gobos, i've done a search and found this site... http://www.jeffstrong.com/gobos.html ... it shows how to make gobos, but i don't understand it well cuz of my bad english (with the matterial names mostly) and cuz of the inches and feets cuz i'm used to work in metters, and its easier to have the things in metters/cms that have them in inches and multiplicate them to get cm's... but i'll try do understand it with the time.. anything i won't understand or need help ill post here!
