My struggle with ORGANIC

I'm a guitarist in a band and about a year and a half ago I took on the role of mixer. Its started out as rough mixes for beats we were trying to place then turned into actual remixes that were officially released. It didn't take too long for us to achieve what I deemed presentable to the public (and when I say presentable I mean barely). Anyway, we now have a project that involves more of a organic sound as opposed to electronic/pop/dubstep we're used to. Since we're broke and don't have a real studio I've been getting all my sounds from Addictive Drums, and various amp simulation programs along with soft synths.

Now I understand I'm facing the adversity of having to deal with emulation software but I'm no where good enough at mixing to say I could confidently make a good mix given well recorded and chosen sounds anyway. Either way I feel like getting a good organic sound is a lot tougher than getting a good electronic/pop mix.

I dove into this mix and I would like you guys to tear me apart. I'm no where near done but I don't even know what I'm aiming for. My main concern is getting the drums and guitars to sound as believable as possible. I did a little psuedo mastering job on it. If anyone prefers a mix with no limiting I can upload that too.

Also here is a link where you can hear the mixes of the pop/electronic stuff we did. They are in the playlist tab labeled "Remixes"

All criticism is appreciated.

you need to get rid of the first 14 seconds of foster for a start. I don't personally like the synth sound in the intro but each to his own I guess.
The bass sounds nice, just a touch too forward in the mix when it comes in until about 1:15 where it sits nicely against the guitars. Dropping it back a tiny bit until then and it's last note too, might just make the middle pop out a bit better.

Overall it sounded OK. The one sound I didn't care too much for was the distorted rhythm guitar - just didn't have that low-mid power I'd like to hear.

The kick and bass might be a bit too loud.

There's some silence at the beginning and it cuts off abruptly at the end.

yea sorry about the silence guys.

I know I can tighten up the mix but what I'm really struggling with is making it sound "real". It just doesn't sound real to me. Maybe its because I know they aren't real drums and guitar amps but its just missing something.

I wanna find out if these sounds are good enough to or if I'm naturally getting capped by them.
