As I look at my set-up tonight, I'd say it's slowly coming together. I do have some questions in regard to how my components are connected to each other however.

Here is an example:

My electric guitar is plugged into "Line In 1" on a Behringer MX602A. Patch cables run from "Main Out L&R" to "INS 1&2" on my Delta 44 breakout box.

1/4 - RCA cables then connect the breakout box's "Outs 1&2" to my active monitors, which are set-up on either side of the computer screen.

Running N-tracks, all seems to work well, but I cannot control the monitor volume with the mixer when N-tracks is playing back a track, only when I play live or record.

Question: How do I set-up the system to give me control of my monitors while still allowing me to hear playback in N-tracks?

Thanks for any help, I've come a long way in the last 2 weeks...lots of hair pulling...lots of decisions...lots of fun!

I think that some here will recommend that you play your guitar through and amp and mic the amp. The mic will then go into line 1 of the mixer.
I don't know about the monitor question. Do you mean to listen to tracks playing while simultaneously playing and hearing your guitar?

:D

To clarify

I mean the output from the soundcard is not running through the mixer, and I therefore cannot control it with the mixer. In order to increase or decrease the volume of my monitors, I have to use the virtual control panel, which is a pain.
