Thank Supercreep. I definitely gave it my own spin!! And as far as drums He didnt bring his double pedal. But for the mix?? It's not that bad right?? :D

The mix is okay, I'd swap out those C1000s for some B1s or something lickety-split - the cymbals are a little on the harsh side. A double pedal ain't gonna help your drummer cover NP though. He's just not there yet.

what are the b1s, anyway nice to meet you supercreep, THIS is the bass player on the trac, trust me bro, he's can do it on drums / but when you have'nt play drums in 9 years and pull-off what you heard is really not that bad, he does'nt have a kit and only played about three times in the last year, when he's back in form (AFTER), he buys some drums and practices like he used too, he'll pull=off some awesome tracs/ hopefully roads games from holdsworth and some dregs(take it off the top), then you'll get a true sense of his abilities.

Studio Projects B1 Large Diaphram Condenser microphone. Cheap, excellent OH mic.

Good bass playing, there, sir.

I don't doubt your drummer is excellent - I don't doubt it at all. I'm not commenting to slag on your drummer, he's very talented. Only, in narrow terms of playing the drums to Anthem and Circumstances, his tempo increases drastically from start to finish, and he isn't playing the correct fills at the correct times - basically his arrangement of fills is incorrect, and he is frequently pulling the band out of time. He's certainly a better drummer than I am. But since we're talking Rush, I have to say the drummer is the most instantly recognizable as the weak link in these recordings. NP has a distinct style and approach to phrasing and your drummer didn't do a great job of capturing that.

I'll be looking for more from you guys, I imagine your original material is very interesting indeed.

i agree, its been a long while and we are just getting things rolling again, i remember when i first met gary(the drummer) when i was 16 and i wasn't even playing bass then, i would go over to his house and watch him play to records(remember) those, anyway, he would play right along and nail every part to the T, it was hard to tell the record or him, then he would really get down doing dixie dregs stuff which was more intense (busy snare), in time we'll get back in form/ AND much thanks for the compliment on my bass playing, i was a late bloomer, didn't start till i was 22 , now i'm 42 and just getting my feet wet. happy new year SUPER CREEP

Hi everyone, been years and hope everyone is doing well. Well met up again after many years of not seeing each other and thought we give La Villa Whirl. Only had two week notice for all of us to relearn the parts and record. HOPE YOU GET A GOOD LAUGH, but we had a blast.
