My Rappin Skillz Drop Feedback Peeps!!

I listened to every track!

Ok so at first I was a little taken aback by your lisp, Im sure you have heard enough about it already. WHY ISNT THIS GUY ON MTV!?! WHERE IS THE BRITISH RAP INVASION!?! DO PEOPLE REALLY THINK AMERICA HAS THE ONLY STREETS WITH GANGS,GUNS, PIMPS, DRUGS, BITCHES AND HOES? There isnt a bad track in his 10 song list! My personal favorates are Choir and Tear Drops. I also liked the genius used on tracks Old English and Death. The collaberation piece with Cardo was awesome. What else is there to say other then, WHY ISNT THIS GUY ON MTV!?!
 
I just can't resist. I listened to Accross The Globe. This is basicly a sampled loop of The Eagles "Hotel California". Don't let Don Henley hear this or you might end up in court.

first song of the batch...

this sucks... I hear noise reduction artifacts, it is a musical ripoff, the rapping has the abilities of anyone reading words off a piece of paper, the music bed is poor fidelity, the vocal sound has poor mic technique, it is musically monotonous and unimaginative, the lyrics sound amaturish....

pros: ........ you where able to convert to a mp3 file and get it on the internet. good job there!!
 
this isnt professionnaly recorded. you try to rap and we can see if its jus readin lyrics off paper.

First off, I'm not much of a rap fan, so I'm not gonna be much help here. For rap to catch my attention it has to be really inventive and creative and this sounds a lot like everything else I've heard... only with glottal stops. At 17, it only to be expected that you're going to be influenced a lot by the stuff you listen to. But work on making the sound your own more. Just my $.02

Dude......

This site is for recording........not really set up as a show place for tunes....when we post tunage here it is to mostly get the opinions of engineers on the Quality of the Sound and Mix... ....

I just don't think you realize that this is the main focus of this site and especially this Forum....


True enough....members do comment on the artistic/musical merits of the tunage.....but that just isn't the main reason why we are here...........OK??

disregard where your beats came from. After all, you asked us to review your rappin skill not music.

Although I don't rap, I think your rapping skill is good. One thing I would advise is to get a pop-filter or make one yourself. Get a ring thats about 3-4" in radius and put a panty-hose(yep) over it.

Spend some bucks and get Fruity Loops, that way you can claim your own beats alone with your rapping skills.

Oh, by the way, if I were you, I would post these mp3s in the hip hop/dj/rapping forum, you will get more positive feebacks there.

Yeah the rapping is good I guess, I really wouldn't know. I hear the artifacts too. And the music is a little low and stolen.
Do people speak ebonics in the UK too?
DO you guys do drive-bys with billy clubs?
 
I thought the rap technique was pretty good, if that's what you were looking for feedback on. I would take the flames from the members on this board with a grain of salt. Many of them seem to feel the need to show their musical prowess by bashing 'lessor' forms of music.
