My Proposed Daw for Sonar 4

Before I go ahead and order this I thought I would run it by people who are in the know.

it would be better to get 2 10,000 rpm 40g hard drives than to have 1 80gb. then you put your executable and virtual memory one the 1 drive, and put your music data on the other.

if possible, get the 6-pin 1394 instead of the mini-pin (4 pin).
 
Actually it IS two 80GB Hard drives (Western Digital).
Why 6 pin? Just so I know.
 
I'm using a Tascan FW-1884 and it works like a charm with Sonar. You can find them B-Stock for $1000.00 from AMS.
 
I believe the 6 pin can power outboard devices. The 4 pin can't.
 
It all depends on how you plan to use it.

Are you using it primarily for digital audio recording?
Do you plan to use samples?
