Me myself & him

I pulled an old amp out of the closet, I'm pretty sure it's in good working order. But the only outs are quarter inch, I generally use speaker wire. This means I finally have to learn how to solder right?

Or drive to the music store ;)

You can usually find 1/4inch to bananna plug. Just take off the bananna plug if you don't need it.

Bananna plugs look like a 'U' with posts for each lead, pos and neg.

I forgot to mention the other half of my problem, I was planning to use it with my JBLs, but my JBLs only have quarter inch ins:(

Well that makes it easier. You can use just standard 1/4" to 1/4" cable. Nothing weird like 1/4" to bannana.

I'd get the same quality as with 12 gauge speaker wire?

You can still get 12 gauge speaker wire, just with 1/4" ends on it. Any good music store should have this.
