I flew American Eagle last month and my return flight was delayed. I approached the service desk attendants and asked if the flight was indeed delayed. I was told it was because they were trying to locate a crew to fly the plane from Raleigh-Durham to Hartford.
I took a seat not too far from the loading zone and I do recall that the pilot and copilot appeared remarkedly young when they boarded. I didn't give it much thought then, but I will now.
The last thing I want to do is fly with a pilot who has limited experience.
$22 an hour and a limit of 1000 hours per year!
What they do the rest of the year? Crop dusting in Nebraska?
We all want people with more experience and more hours logged doing whatever it is they are doing, but where else are you going to get the experience flying commercial planes than on commercial flights?
