Im new to recording and am now building my own studio.
I think ive finally settled with the following items for recording -
a M-Audio Audiophile 2496,
a M-Audio Audio Buddy,
and a SHure SM57.
Now im trying to decide on monitors. I was told that the Yorkville YSM1 was a good option. But I live in Ireland and will be buying my gear from the U.K - and I cant find a single U.K. site selling Yorkville. So know I'm looking for new monitors......
any suggestions for my current setup??.
Also I was wondering if anyone from the e.u. has tried to order any of the abovementioned equipment from the U.S.
Its just that they all seem to costs at least 50% more on this side of the atlantic.
For example, the best deal i could get for the 3 abovelisted items was
£356.740 = €586.42 = $515.75 (including £25 shipping and 20% tax)
But in the U.S. these 3 items total at approx. $325, but before excise and shipping.
