my new room how do i work it all out?

ok guys

ok guys this is good stuff but... what the heck does it have to do with my freakin studio? this is not the gear forum
:rolleyes: i mean come on guys i tried this once and got told to leave :mad:
its ok if you guys want to talk about gear but this is something that is what we call a "rabbit trail" :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
any way i hope to get some kind of drawings together soon :D
 
Do some reading on the subject:

Fiberglass bats (ridged Pannels) have better accoustic qualities than accouctic foam

Round rolls of fibreglass in corners(the big plastic rolls from hardware have been proven to be successful as base traps.

Rockwool is proven to be a unbelieable sound profing material

Accoustic carpet underlay has been used to great affect

DO SO READING ARROUND THE INTERNET all the above have been tested in professional labs...to be successful alteratives to expensive accoustic treatments....
 
oh man thanks for digging this one up again....
uhhh yeah well any way i think i will build some stuff like the other guys have done... it seems to work well enough for ALL the guys who have used them AND also does not look like was just stacjing crap in the corner of my room...
but any way budget problems (new gear) and delays in some plans have made things tough to get going on the new room.. any way i will be working i hope to get things rolling maybe this fall/winter or something. it is time to round of some research on all of this stuff and learn as much as i can before going into nailing studs and drywall... but i am thinking about putting a few bass traps in this closet i use now and maybe a cloud and a couple gobos.. ahhh money so much time and so little money to use both at once....
