I just put up a review of some great monitors with big low-end. No sub needed.
APS Klasik Active Monitors Review
APS Klasik Active Monitors Review
Thanks for the thoughts man. It's about dang time someone made something useable under $2K. I'd love to hear a pair in person.
...just to be clear, you ARE saying you thought these were better than comparable Adam and Genelec speakers?
I was sorely disappointed with the junk that Focal and K&H made at that level.
YUUUUCCCCK. Didn't know K&H was Neumans little b---- now.
I'll save my rant on Neumann for another thread lol
K&H was bought by Neumann, and now they're putting out active monitors. Using the Neumann badge, and building with cheap labor and materials and QC.
I was interested in your review until I read the above. Firstly it is factually wrong: K&H was not bought by Neumann. Secondly, I cannot find any evidence of poor quality, either in construction or performance, with Neumann monitors. In fact, it is the opposite: they meet with seemingly universal acclaim.
So now I am not as convinced as I was about the objectivity of your review.
That has already been pointed out. That's not what saying "K&H was bought by Neumann" means.K&H is actually owned by Sennheiser, who owns Neumann. How and why do you think that there are suddenly Neumann monitors with "KH" models?
And this assertion is supported how?The quality of Neumann products has never been what they were pre-Sennheiser.
I'm not sure what the relevance of this. Maybe to illustrate somehow that 'real' Neumann microphones are not real? Microtech Gefell was founded by Georg Neumann in 1928. I believe that Microtech Gefell is the only company to still make the original M7 capsule.Real Neumann microphones are not even made by Neumann. They're made by Microtech-Gefell.
