My new mixer

I just got a Alesis MultiMix mixer with USB on sale at guitar center...I went home, and just used Garage Band instead of the Cubase LE it came with...it records, but I can't play it back through any speakers that are plugged into the computer, or headphones plugged into the mixer...do I need to buy studio monitors to plug into the mixer so I can here it playback?...I really want to start using it...please help!

Sounds like you need to select which device the playback software is outputting to. Find the software's "Options" or "Preferences" and just select the output device you want.
