My new mics...Decca Tree here I come.

Found a phenomenal deal on 3 matched DPA 4006 omni microphones..
got all 3 of them for 3,000 , which is unheard of.

Now I need to figure out how to make the Decca Tree...

Cut a couple of holes in some ping pong balls, and slide 'em over the ends of the mics - instant M-49's.

I made a Decca tree out of 1/2 in conduit and some L brackets.
And attached it to a speaker stand.
For mic mounts I drilled homes in the conduit and use some 3/8 20 bolts and the adapters that come with some mic clips.

I think i tore it apart. If I can find it I will post a photo

I may have to play around with my MSh's on a Decca Tree. I used my Cad M179's set to omni last time I used the Decca Tree.

Btw, Harvey has a good idea espc. if you fill the balls with some material
like modelling wax or what´s the word; you know the childrens kind.
