i need monitors. simple as that. but there is one problem. They need to be small, yet still effective. affordable would be nice too. any suggestions. will post picture soon.

Behringer 1C, KRK ST6, Alesis One's, Samson Resolv 65, Roland DM series, Edirol MA series, Samson 2.1 system, etc.

Visit any online music store for your choices.

Alesis Monitor Ones

I would also recommend the Alesis Monitor Ones, or the newer MKIIs, I have the MKIIs and love'em. For the price I don't know if you can go wrong. And if youre short on space get the active ones (no large amp to deal with).

Wharfedale 8.2a actives. They're quite the hot item right now, and you don't even need a power amp for them. In the miscellaneous gear forum there's a thread about them that's about thirty pages long. You can get them for about $300.

If I didn't already have and like my Event 20/20's, I'd be all over them.

Tascam ReVeal actives are what I use mainly. These monitors are increadible andif you can find them used, they are a very decent price

M-Audio

Audiophiles or something like that $149 at Guitar Center..

"Tascam ReVeal actives" - when did Tascam buy Tannoy?

the wharfedales aren't exactly small, they're deep n heavy but worth every penny and a little bit more IMHO

Doh,

I typed that too quick. I meant Tannoy ReVeal Actives (Blue). They are Bi amped with an internal crossover and they sound awesome.

I havent used the Red ones (unpowered) but I have heard great things as well about them.

If budget is of no issue (heheh) I would go with Meyer..
