Mic Test Results 603/2001/ECM8000
Well, I received 6 mics from UPS yesterday, 2 of which were double shipped (for free I might add). I won't say the name of the company in case a salesman is reading this post.
I received 4 ECM8000's (instead of 2), and the 603/2001 mic package.
I played the same song with the same acoustic in the same postion. Same trim, same mixer on the same channel, flat and no FX.
suprising to me, I found of the three mics (for this application) the Behringer sounded the cleanest and gave me the most accurate sound. I don't have a studio right now so I can't try them as overheads on drums or for a room mic for loud guitar. But for this application, the Behringer took the race! I'm going to pull out a C3000B, SM87 and the TLM103 next to to see if the B even comes close. I'm not a big fan of the C3000B already! I have two of those and they're just OK.
Do I really need 4 ECM8000's?
Hmmmmm......Behringer! Who'd of thought?
