Hey man,

There is a ton of buzz on this....
levels fade in and out too...
not a very clean recording....

I like the picking thang you got goin' on though...
pretty cool ...

Rock on man,
Joe

Cool pickin'

Sounds like it was recorded on a boombox or somethin' though. Lotsa noise & clippin' goin on in there.

I enjoyed it anyway.;)

So guys, I worked on the noisy recording issue, and did something a bit 'cleaner' and replaced the noisy one,.... so the new title is Pickin 5-29....

Fancy that

Give this one a listen, and see if it is any better.....

Thanks..

Well the buzz & clipping seem to be gone from the recording, but I think this would work much better with a clean guitar tone. The distortion/flange thing ain't happenin' with pickin' like that.;)

Thanks brane, I will try it another time without,...... actually, I did not have anything but detune and a bit of delay/reverb,...... no phase, or flange at all......but since it is played thru a pedal with stereo output, and those are routed into two different amps, one of which is my Trace Elliot that has jacks for external speakers, which I am using with the two boxes with the Celestions in them,.....These are on opposite sides of the room, and miced along with a mix from each cab, equalized, with a large diaphram overhead for the complete mix,..... maybe it did something similar to a phase/flange thingy.....

a bit of level adjusting,..... a little less of the reverb, and delay,.... and I will try it again,...... meantime,......

some other comments/critisizms please.......:-)

first off, I caught the meter, its cool, I was thinking a washtub bassline and my lil brother playing washboard. I like that upbeat rythym. The tone on the guitar didnt turn me on that much, Id go for a little cleaner. I didnt hear much noise in the recording, just a lot of room and occasionaly the tone would kinda crunch from the amp a little heavy. But i'm familiar with the style and liked it a lot.

Listening to 5-29

Playing is what I expected from ya, this warms up real nice as it goes on. Totally dig it.

The recording itself could use some help. What medium are you recording to, and what's the basic setup on this? The frequency bandwidth seems a bit narrow to me, certainly seems a bit lacking in the lows.

Man...this sounds really homerecording.

I don't know where to start.

How are you recording this? What type of recorder, what mics, what distances..ect..

You need some help here.

I like the odd overdriven sound on the guitars.

This song needs some lyrics!

Excellent playing, you got some great attack picking.
