thats a pretty nice piece.

I think that the guitar is a bit loud and the snare is a bit low but everything else is nice.

man this is ready for a vocal

Lovely recording.

Funk on!

:) cyan.. you always manage the first reply.. your the only one that likes my stuff..

Yes.. the snare needs to come up a bit, but the level on the snare is close to 0db. maybe I should try maxamizing/phatening the sound of the snare.. it is a weak snare.

do you mean the rythm guitar is too loud or the lead.
on a guitar instrumental I would guess the lead guitar should be in the front of the mix.

I'll tinker with the mix and repost

Thanks again for listening...

hey J, I couldnt get it to play... I tried the right click, I tried the left...

If you put it on Nowhere or something, I'll check it out..

Same problem at first. I tried right-click, and it took ages to choose the save-file location. After that, it began downloading it very slowly, but then the speed got really fast, so I got it.

The beginning reminded me instantly like some Pink Floyd or Roger Waters stuff. The recording quality is great and in balance, as far as I can tell. This song needs some vocals, maybe female vocals. Somehow that acoustic guitar at 0:51 melody reminds me of something I can't point my finger now. Now I remember, it's a finnish band, so you've got no problems there :) since this is a very small country, so it's very unlikely that anybody else has heard that part, unless it's from another song also. Hmmm... On second thought, I'm not that sure this needs the vocals that bad. I guess some small vocal ditty's here and there would work, but this would work as instrumental also. Maybe the vocals would make this sound too much like a standard radio-hit, and I don't know if you'd like that or not :) This song is good as it is, so the vocals could detract (sp?) from it.

If you've got a vocal for the song, fine. Try it out. But I'd keep this instumental version as well. I thinks it works great as is.

Real nice piece. Good writing, good playing, good recording. I can't nit pick issues of sound quality with my PC speakers, but it sounds very good.

...great stuff J. I agree about the guitar and snare. The dim snare didnt stick out to me as much as the louder acoustic. It may not even be a volume issue... maybe a little more separation in the acoustic guitar rythm tracks....eq and reverb wise....
That is one beautiful melody. I'll be humming that to myself all day..... beautiful work!!!!! :D

Thanks guys!

I redid the mix and added goodies.

Check it out :)

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I have never been able to play one of your songs.. Nor the last time you posted either.. I right clicked, saved as, etc..

Nice tune. Needs no lyric imo. I like some of the lead guitar lines. They aren't really jumping out of the mix in my headphones so I have to stretch to hear them sometimes. I think the rhythm guitar is taking over.

Anyway, I like it.

I kept getting a page not found error. Wanted to listen but couldn't. Sorry!

Finally!

dug it much...

I thought it was a good tune and the recording was real nice .. I have no mix suggestions.....I think it's cool as it is, BUT vocals wouldn't be bad either.. I say this because it is one of those songs that would be easy to sing over.. The melody is easy to find..

great job dude... I liked it a lot.
