Trailing Behind Again
... for quite awhile...

Many thanks to Purge for his awesome fretboard flash,

and to BentRabbit for laying down the beat.

I will probably not be around to see the critiques, so you don't have to give me any... I'd be happy if you just listened to it.

Rokket, if your travels bring you near the Seattle area give me a buzz and I'll buy you lunch. I'll PM you.

Purge did some really excellent guitar playing here.

Got your message, thanks. I PM'd you back.

Yes, he did some great things for this song. It just kind of laid there before he got a hold of it... :D

Cool tune Rokket. You guys did a good job on it. Is that you singing? Not bad. Very nice straight ahead rocker.

I should also add that BentRabbit's drums really brought out the driving tempo that I was looking for with this song too. All I have is a sorry drum machine, and I can't program fills... It really needed his touch.

My heartfelt thanks to those guys, and to all the great people I've met since I have been coming here. I've learned a lot about home recording, and I think it shows, especially for those who have heard my earlier stuff!

Hey, you finally coming back to this end of the world?

That song sure sounds WAAAy different than when you originally wrote it... Nice job. When are you going to come to Cali?

Ha! I thought I had it too loud, so I turned it down some. I have a very Billy Sheehan tone going on ( God, I love that Sansamp Bass DI!!!!)
thanks for the listen, girl!
Now where is my riding crop? Someone deserves a spanking!

My new job doesn't leave me much time to surf the internet.. I don't think I will make it to Bangor, but you have my email, you better keep in touch!

Hmmmm....

Sounds like there's some drifting of the drum tracks and the original tracks you sent...

Here's the final I sent you along with the scratch you sent me (without Purge's kick-ass fret acrobats) :D

Did you plug this into you MR8 or just straight to the DAW?

Nice tune Rocket. I think Johnny Ramone just turned over in his grave :D

The drums sound out in front of the singer. You're not Rod Stewart yet so get out there in front! Actually, the snare sounds out in front of everything. I'd like to hear it moved back and maybe off to the side a bit.

I went straight into my pc into Vegas...

You recorded off the first tracks that I sent you? The one that was 4:06 long and no vocals? I think the second one I sent with the vocals on it was the old song, different BPM....

Now I have a problem...

PM me if you read this....

Yeah, I'm working out that right now... I have to get them lined up to take care of the drift.

I just listened to the drums Rabbit did along side my original drum machine track, and it's off just a bit, it almost sounds like I have a digital delay on there or some really thick reverb. So I have to tweak some more. I probably won't repost, but at least it will be fixed...
