Hi,

We here at Egress UK are actively seeking artists so if you are interested in working with us then please send us your demos.

Easiest way is via soundcloud but you can also send me links, CD's, etc.

Details are on the contact page here:

www.egressuk.com

We are based in King's Lynn, Norfolk but the label is open to anyone, anywhere.

Submissions are welcome from bands and/or solo artists.

All genres of music will be considered, especially lo-fi, electronica, experimental, post rock, etc. but please no more "punk pop" in the style of Green Day, et al.

I look forward to hearing what you've got...

Take it easy,
Mark

My label is currently looking for artists....

I saw three guys painting my neighbor's house...would they count? :D

;)

Just kidding.

But hey, your website doesn't really have any details on what' the actual "deal" between your label and the artists who submit music that you that you then provide to various digital music outlets.

I guess the real question would be...is there any money $$$ involved at any point for you or for the artists that upload music to your site…or is this just another way to spread music around for free (same as there is with many other music sites)?

What's your real intent....?

Hi, thanks for the reply...

I cannot think of any record labels that list the terms of their contracts or "deals" on their websites.
That is something that is discussed between the label "us" and the artist "you" if we feel that we would like to work together.
All our contracts are discussed and agreed individually by the artists on the label.
I think you've misunderstood what I am asking for...we are not an online music service (like bandcamp, etc.), we are a record label asking for demos from artists...if we like those demos we would then get in touch to discuss taking things further. Nothing that is sent to us is used in any other way at all...

Thanks a lot,
Mark

No...I didn't really expect to find specific details of actual contracts...I just meant that your site doesn't really clarify what your long-term goal/intent is.
There is no mention of what could potentially transpire if/when you "pick-up" an artist…and seeing how there are many online websites that ARE just looking to "gather" music for free internet play and dissemination...
...well, that's why I asked for clarification. :)

How about some old school death metal?

I don't have any stuff to send in, but if you need a new site I'm willing to work for cheap. It looks like it could use a revamp.

Yeah and if you sign KC you'll have to release a collaboration between him and I where we blend old school death metal with on the dance floor, shaking your booty off skank music. It's called Rotten Anal Enema :D
