I recently acquired some new pieces:

Roc-N-Soc Nitro (amazing)
A Custom Cymbals
Bongos
Evans EMAD batter kick head
KSM44 (2)
SM57 (3)
Auralex Hoverdeck

Here's a recording I made today.

Below are some pictures.

sounds very classy, but i think you left a few mics off your list there..
the bongos are a classy touch

Yeah, those were just the new mics. Theres a D112 on kick and a Shure PE47L on snare.

my man, i guess my tuning lessons helped! Great drum sounds from only EHH drums! drop me an IM

Thats a nice setup there johnathanray. Sounds pretty good too. What were you using for the bass drum reso head?

The drums sound great. Question about the overheads...What pattern are you using on the KSM44's (omni, uni, etc.)?

Your kit sounds amazing, I'm using very similar drum mics (Except the overheads, yours are way better :) I'm using some MXL604's, these ok?) and I can't get mine to sound anywhere near that good. Is that a straight up fresh track or is it EQed and mixed? Nice job.

um sorry i dont kno if its cos ive played in a punk/hardcore/metal band my whole life but i have played many a kit but i dont like the notes of the toms man they just seem really high i dunno maybe its me i love the kick and snare sound tho its tight hahaha

Those toms are tuned waaaaaaay too high for me personally. But otherwise nice looking and nice sounding kit :) I too dig the bongos :D

hey, are those Coated g2's or g1's...love the warm sound, alittle too high pitched for me though.

Sounds cool. Personally, I would tune down a bit, especially if you are using bongos, even roto's. Those can be used to brighten up a dark, deep sounding set, not match it. Sounds good..have you been recording for a while?
