My Kingdom for a 1U external case.

All I want is 1U rack case (not a computer case for motherboad and all the other stuff.) so I can add external HD's and a CD rom for the sampler and the computer. it shouldn't be that hard to find. but all I find are full cases for computers (which I don't want)
any ideas?

Get your self a rack shelf and mount external drive housings on that.

well there internal drives (73.4 gig, 36 gig and scsi DVD drive) that I would like to cool all at once, in one case.

I live about .5 miles from chesterfield mall off of olive. I work at maryville center at 141 and 40. but soon will be moving out to Missouri Research Park. This might not be any help but a place over in the UK called Maplin do exactly what you're looking for. Just a steel 1U/2U/3U/4U 'instrument' case as they called it.

But (and the big but) I dunno if they ship to the US.
