it's very clean and simple.. I love the color scheme.. the only thing i would really change is the text on the nav bar is not so good.. Just doesn't work. Use the same or a similar font that you've used in all the other text and it will look alot better.

cheers

Looks good.

Nav bar comment: You realize that the button text can have spaces in them ("Photo Album" vs. "Photo_Album"), even though the page they are referencing has the latter spelling. You probably knew that, and it may even be the look you're going after.

I like the yellowish (goldenrod?) text color. The blue text is hard to read though.

Overall, well done!

Like recording, web design is a black hole for time!

Looks pretty good. I'd use a different font for the left menu. And remove the _'s from the link names. Try a font like "Trebuchet MS".

Also, you're using JavaScript for the menu hovering on the left side. I disabled JavaScript real quick and the hover effect doesn't work. Not really a big deal though, but a hover effect is so easy to do without JavaScript you may want to consider doing it another way.

Looks good so far though.

I would do two things here to really improve the looks and performance of the site.

1) Set it so that when the page initially loads, all of the buttons on the left come up at once, rather than as they are actually loaded. Will make it look much cleaner. There's even a way to make the entire site load, before anything is displayed.

2) Use iframes for each page. Currently, as you navigate from page to page using the buttons on the left, the entire left menu reloads from scratch as does the top and a few other things. You could make it never reload that stuff (which is always the same anyway), and only that middle window would have to reload. I think it would make a signifigant improvement. If you need help, or more specifics, let me know.

thanks for all the comments! I really appreciate it. As for using the iframes, can you tell me a little more about it? How would I go about setting it up?

Thanks again, all!!

I'd be less concerned with appearence and more concerned with function if I were you. What do you want achieve with your website? Sales? If so, why not have a streaming player on the front page, with a direct link to purchase your album? Currently theres nothing to compel a vistor to do anything much other than to have a quick browse and move on.

eventually the site will be to promote and sell product. Until now, it's just mainly for contact and exposure.

very simple and does the trick. everything seems to work well enough. i'm assuming this is a template or something?

the only thing i'd really mention is that without reading anything, you get no feel for what your music is. just all gray kind of makes me think of darker rock, but maybe that's just me. it does leave people kind of guessing until they listen to your music (not to mention the door with anyone's guess on it), which actually works with your band name, but it might also turn people off who might want to know what you're about before downloading a song.

just my 2 cents.

rock!
