Tried embedding it but wouldnt let me embed onto this forum

Constructive criticism is well received so please tell me what you think of it.

Not sure yet if this is the prime style im going for when i make more tracks but this sound just popped into my head so i decided to make it.

Also thanks to a few people on the newbie forum who gave me a few tips on getting started etc;

Sounds pretty good,

In general midi jams dont get much feedback here. I suggest you look into learning Dub step if your gonna stay with this genre.

Mix sounds Ok.

thanks for the feedback, because im new to this im happy using fruity loops at the moment

not bad for a first track, not bad at all

so critique...well not wanting to be harsh, and remember this is your first so understand the level of criticism intended

The beat starts of well but the handclaps are just out of time...

the bass is nice, maybe a small amount of delay will help it move a little

the initial melody is a little dry, but works OK

but the bad part...the kick comes in and whoompf, sucks all the energy out of the track

bring it down and lose some of the oomph...its a fine balance, try side chaining the kick to the bass if you want to give it more room...at 1.06 another synth comes in and they all start to cloud up a bit....remember between 250-500Hz is the mud zone, make sure you dont have too many frequencies there...you could also automate some panning on one so it moves out of the way for 16 bars or so

think of the track as being two parts, EDM is all about building tension..half way through there should be a build to a drop the maybe just the kick, then bass, then build it all back up again

all in all a really solid first mix though...some tweaks and arrangement thoughts would get something banging :)

The mix sounds good in my headphones, it sounds like it hits pretty hard in the low bass. Ima dl it and try it on a different system more geared to that kinda music. What kc said about the handclaps - they have to kinda swing with the beat, they stay totally even on the 1/8's while the synths have a stop/go to em in the 16th's.

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback. Gives me something to focus on.
