your a serious player

imho...that was some of the tastiest guitar playin I've ever heard. I wasn't listening on cans this time and had these monitors peaking...damn I thought this was a very awesome mix! Do you have anything with vocals on it? I'd like to hear one if you do. Again "great gtr work" i'm very humbled:) . Wow!

Ditto! Great chops my friend. The break with harmony guitars at 2:30 is sweet. Your mix is pretty good but just a little bass heavy. And I can hear the compressor pumping just a little. My friend, the only reason I'd bring up such slight jabs on your mix is the caliber of the guitar playing is so high.

I'd definately bring up the solo gtr too...

the rest of the instruments are kinda 'straight lined'...volume wise, which makes for minimum dynamics...but I enjoyed the dbl leads for sure.

I'll just have to echo what everyone else has said....very good chops and a nice mix. Guitar should come up a little, especially at that dbl lead part, that's very cool. Are you doing everything?
Really, the only real complaint I might have is it seems just a bit long, after a while; the constant rapid fire ride gets to be hard to keep concentrating on. Not that it's not great playing, but maybe it should be broken up occassionaly with a simpler melodic statement. But it's fine playing indeed!

Listened to this last night... was good then, and it's good now... it's got a good flow to it. You have a real nice, light touch on the guitar... Speedy Gonzalez...

Agree that a different arrangement, where some different instrumentation comes in would be nice for a break... or just some vox... but this is really an excellent display of talent... reminded of both GONZO-X and JMarcomb here, and that's high praise :)

Hey, guys. Thanks so much for all the positive remarks, and also for the advice !! I don't know how the 5-star rating thing works, but I really appreciate that, too !!
I was wondering if the guitar was loud enough during the double lead. Lt. Bob, I did everything myself. The drums are the result of sifting through hundreds of one-shot samples, and I personally think they go together pretty well. The bass is actually a MIDI track, with a soundfont. The guitars are recorded through my POD. I realize that this tune may be a bit one-dimensional, and it is a bit lengthy. The thing is, I wrote this tune 10 years ago, and just never had the means to do a decent recording. So, after that long, I could really only hear it one way! Kinda like tryin' to add another verse to Stairway To Heaven!!
David, thanks for the kind words. I do have another tune in the works right now that has vocals.
Track Rat, I'm still tryin to figure out how in the world to add compression subtly, and the fact that you heard it working doesn't surprise me at all !! I appreciate everyone's critique, and I'll let ya know when I get the next one done. Thanks again, you guys made my day!!
