My first scream metal mix (Dreaming Reality by Changing Tides)

Hi,

I just did my first recording and mix of a scream metal song performed by Changing Tides. Hopefully not too bad, but for my feeling it needs further improvement. Thus, all comments are welcome. The more specific the better.

You've got a good thrashy kinda scream dude, decent lows and frys IMO. There is a little bit of simbilance but whatever, sounds good to my ears. I've definitely heard a lot worse from professionals.

Mix wise, I would like a little more clarity out of the (distorted) guitars if possible but I'm also a complete noob to this so take that with a grain of salt. But if you're going for an old school death metal style then you won't want to clean them up too much because that'll ruin the vibe.

I like the drums, the sound off those is really good.

Is there bass? I'm not hearing much but that could also be good mixing if it's only really there to boost the low end. Totally acceptable for metal.

Didn't hear this when you first posted it. I am hearing all your guitars up the center or you copy and pasted the same track and posted left-right. I would like to hear the guitars have more spacial separation.
