Ok...I posted some of my original tunes atwww.idrive.com, under ericholder or Dougly.
I would appreciate any criticism (Good or Bad) regarding my tunes...I played all the instruments on it myself, recorded it myself, so have a little sympathy for the sound & set-up, but would really like your honest opinion, because I'm anxious to learn from everybody..
Thanks!

You've got a real 60's pop sound goin on, which is not a bad thing at all. In my opinion, which means nothing, the vocals need a little polish ("Finsh Me Off" first chorus has some off key-ness at first)..."Shallow Girl" could probably use a little more bottom. I enjoyed your playing...it's a good pop sound...wished to hear more of "Mr. W" and really wanted to hear more of "Shallow Girl"...it had a sort of Byrds feel to it...as I said before, everything had a 60's vibe to it...and if that's what you're after, you nailed it, guy...have you ever heard anything by the Hollies? The vocal timbre reminded me of them (an old Graham Nash band...)...gibs

I liked your vocals. It sounds like Ray Davies of the Kinks. Yeah- Hollies as well.
Nice job for a totally solo effort.

Thanks for the input...
gibs: You're right about the vocals, I really could use a few singing lessons.
Don't know any vocalists here, haven't lived out here too long, so I tried it all myself, and I guess that shows for the worse sometimes...
Drstawl: I was going for a pure 60's sound
(Not marketable, but fun!), so thanks for the compliment, my Rickenbacher must have cut through the mix.

No No, I LIKED the vocals..it was just the couple of offs I was referring to...gibs

Great production!!!!!

The sound FX at the end of "Finsh Me Off" was well selected.
