My First Blues! Whaddya Think???

I like it man...nice tone on the guitar, and good playing. Soundss like a few vocal pops need some attention, but that was it. The rest is very cool....nice sounds.

Stock setting on a POD, or custom? I have an XTL, and will run it through my amp when I feel like mic'ing. Usually I just run direct, but lately, I mix teh 2 signals.

Your tone is very good. Fits the tune well. I never listened to see if it was not a mic'd amp. Just a cool tune.

I used one stock Pod tone for the rhythm, and another for the leads. I am definitely gonna try running my XT through my Hot Rod Deluxe one of these days. But my recording time is SO limited, and the Pod direct is SO easy. Know what I mean? ;)
 
Nice job Chris.
I would bring out the drums just a tuch more and cut some of the low end in the bass.
Very nice guitar tones.

Hi Chris, are you using some kind of Phaser on the vocals?

I really like your sound.

The guitar tone is great!
 
A little ZZ Top flavor in there with the vocals treatment. I find my self craving a Po-Boy -n- crawdads. Tasty sounds from the POD, nice playin' too.

I love your playing, however I can't get over this sounding like it is coming out of a transistor radio, Unless my ears are picking up something that no one else is hearing!!!!!!..... :confused:

I do however love your guitar playing and your vocals, and this is great for your first stab at recording the blues!

The transistor radio sound is why I asked about the vocals on a phaser or something. It is a bit strange, but the more I listened, the more I liked it. That transistor sound seems to be coming from the vox!!

Or aliens are screwing with your tooth, and my bwain is picking up the gamma rays from it!! :eek:

Yes, this mix does have a phaser on the vocals. I'm gonna take it off. :)

The "quality" you were hearing is the result of some ill-advised vocal processing. Just trying to cover up my singing, I guess. ;)
