my first acoustic guitar mix (mp3 included) advice please?

not bad for first recording. try cutting 200-400hz to take out the mud. also it sounds really far away try micing 6 inches away from the 12th fret if your room's not so hot. i hear a computer fan or something in the background too. cover harddrives up with blankets.:)

i did record around 5 or 6 inches, and to be honest, i dont know how to cut frequencies in adobe audition. and my laptop blows, so yeah you hear the fan haha. there's very little time where it completely stops :P

how would i go about cutting those frequencies? here is what the EQ in adobe audition looks like http://images.digitalmedianet.com/2006/Week_5/0khghhf4/story/new_eq550.jpg
this is also another option - http://www.audio2u.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/fft.jpg

those seem so confusing to me haha. advice? tips?

As a new guy myself, i thought it sounded good, but

I agree with punkrocker sounded a little far away.

I didn't noitice the noise till i put on my headphones, could just be me but it seems to go away in the spots that you just leave a note hanging out for a sec, or the pc stops LOL

Anyway Nice work
