Solar Power!!
Yup - It's up http://greysfiles.com/Studio/Pages/update_6.htm

I'm worn out with all this so I'm taking off with the dog tomorrow and we're going camping.

A week under the stars......YES!

I'm realy proud of the studio - The control room is as tight as hell. There's not a room mode, bass dip etc. The piano room has a smooth .9sec type verb which lengthens when you close the wall units and add more reflections.

see yawl when I get back

cheers

Hot Damn, John! That looks GREAT!

Congratulations on your new digs, but don't think you're out of the woods yet. There's this forum here called "The MP3 Clinic" that's rather "diagramless" at the moment....

hehe...

I've enjoyed looking at your "trip" for the last couple months, and hope you get the fantastic results that all of us here wish for you.

Also, if you don't mind, hire me as a lackey SOON! George W. is president now, you're place seems the PERFECT hideaway!

:D

Oh John. Waaay cool. I really like those slats on the walls. You have the room I want. And the piano. Shit. What can I say. Very, very nice.

There's no way that's the same space from where you started!! My god, I'm blown away. I can't even picture the old space in those pictures. Damn damn damn. This just makes me wish I could keep working on my studio constantly like I was, but noooooo, I have to go to school for a job that doesn't care about me!! Yeah... I just got home from work and I got a shitty raise, excuse me if I'm bitter.

John, when are you going to come out to Wisconsin and help me finish my studio? :) I have a spare bedroom here.

Later,
-Brian

yep ... I'd say you deserve a break. Outstanding work, man. I love the murals in the piano room and the sun in the control room ... they really help to create a mood.
Thanks so much for sharing this project with all of us. I've already learned alot from you. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next. Have a great vacation, you've earned it after this fantastic job.

Hey Brian, where in wisconsin are you?

I am right outside the capital, Madison. As for my exact location, you can e-mail me and ask :)

Yeah, damnit. Of course he didn't link to the home site so we could get the true number of hits to see how many people it attracted, but that's ok :)

So Snapper... you didn't care where I'm from or what? Where are you from?

sorry brian I just got notice now that you responded. I am
in Waukesha, and I'm about to start building. I was
hoping you lived right down the street but o-well.

Well Snapper,
I used to live in that area, and if there's one thing about people who live in that area (I know because I grew up there) is that everyone around there thinks that traveling from one city to the next is some day long trip, or just way too much traveling for them. Ya know, Madison to Waukesha isn't THAT far of a drive. If you're going to start building something and you need some advice from someone who's been there I, along with the other two guys I'm building with, can come out to your place.

Later,
-Brian

Thanks Guys for the kind words - it was really good getting back and reading such positive stuff - the best thing I like about you guys and gals in the US is the way you encourage and applaud people - I'm deeply humbled. Thanks. :)

Yo Snapper - you should go visit Brian - it looks like a 300K (100 miles) trip - Hey I just drove 1600Ks for fun! :D
in fact why not do the round trip and pop down and visit Buck62 in Chicago. I'm sure the Bros will give you a good night out.

cheers
john
