Hey dudes...Quick question.I have a 200 watt powered mixer that i use for myself and another guy.We use 2 chasnnels for our vocals.2 channels for our acoustic guitar piezos and 2 channels for the acoustics miked. The problem is i want to use some effects from my Korg AX1G guitar processor...like compression and reverb but i can bearly here the effect on each channel!
I've used the effect send o/p from PA to i/p of processor and then from o/p of processor to effects return.Am i doing anything obviously wrong in my setup?

I know it sounds silly, but make sure you're feeding enough from the mixer to the stomp box. I had a powered mixer a few years back and the effects loop caused lots of problems. What kind of board is it?

Sending a signal to a compressor from a the effect send on a mixer will do nothing for you. You have to insert the compressor on the channels insert if it has one. Many powered mixers don't.

If you are trying to feed a reverb or delay from your effect send, make sure that the processor has the direct signal turned down at the output, otherwise you are just increasing the original signal that much more, so the direct to effect signal is more weighted towards the direct signal. You will hear less effect.
