Hey, it's been a while since I've posted on these boards. I've been on here since 2001. When I first singed up for these boards I barely even knew how to even press the record button. I can definitely say my recordings wouldn't be where they are today if I hadn't participated in the homerecording.com forum.

I have an album preview on my band's myspace you guys should check out. It basically has 30 seconds or so of every song on the cd. The cd was recorded, mixed, and mastered entirely by myself in the basement of our singer's mom's house.

check it:

The CD will be in stores Tuesday, August 22nd. Victory records is doing the distribution so you will be able to find this cd at various chain stores. If you happen to like what you hear you can purchase the CD at these fine retailers:

If you could pick up a copy of this homerecording I would sincerely appreciate it. You can hear the quality much better on a CD than a crappy myspace page.

If you have any questions regarding the recording let me know!

Thanks!!!!

Checked out a few of the clips on MySpace....

Might just have to buy that album - these are real nice sounding teasers...

Sounds really good and definitely see this going somewhere good.

A big congratulations to you on your album success!

Can I order on Amazon now? Or do I have to wait until the 22nd?

:D :) :D :)

Good writing and arranging. Congrats on the distribution success.

Why does everything I listen to today sound a little too compressed to me? Got to be my ears I think.

Tim

Man... One thing that really sticks out is the vocal sound is nailed... What compressor did you use? What did you use for the doubling? Harmonies?

Pretty much I've been looking for a good set of vocal tools. It's odd, I've tried a bunch of different channel strips, compressors and such but I actually prefer the Line 6 compressor and de esser that is on the Tone Port UX2 even to the Waves RenVox.

And I ended up using a free reverb that is decent.

Congrats on the success. Hope you guys get what you want out of the biz since you have cut through. I'm from CT and I still remember when Hatebreed got onto victory back in the day. They have grown and signed alot of good artists.

Hey what kind of mixing desk did you use and wich pre-amps?

Grtz

I using mostly a great river preamp on this recording. Presonus digimax for converters and protools LE with the 001. Mixed in the box. Used a couple of nice outboard stuff like distressor, some really expensive EAR compressor and some neve eq's. also used a smart c2 compressor on the kick

what genre does this fall into. Is this emo? Great mixing.

indie rock

how does your label feel working with the biggest scam artist in all of punk/hardcore history, tony victory?

Your Goodbyes rocks!

The mixing is just amazing.

The playing is really tight. Nice to hear people that can actually play guitar unlike most of the rest that just crank up the amp and keep hitting random strings.

Good for you. The vox are mixed really really nice. :) Doubled nice.

The guitars are big and not annoying loud.

well, actually Hawthorne Heights is suing Victory. The singer for that band owns our label so I'm a little worried about our Distribution deal with Victory but it's a separate entity so it should be fine. So far, we've been pleased.

wow, i didn't even know that. i do, however, know that victory has basically ripped off every band thats been unfortunate enough to be swindled by them for the past 10 years. its ridiculous how many albums have been recorded that aren't allowed to be released because of the control tony victory has over every member every band has ever had in it. the guys from old catch 22/streetlight manifesto are literally releasing bullshit filler just so they can fulfill their contracts and release bandits of the acoustic revolution's ep legally..
