I like the song allot - Some nice changes to tempo! Hate to say it, but the vocals are flat most of the time.. it really takes away from the overall sound. But, the mix and sound are really nice.

hey

yeah man thanks yeah my singer needs some work but thanks for listnening man we are playing for only 3 months so im sure well get better... thanks again

I listened to Who I am (on MySpace)

I was wondering when we would hear you tune(s) from the studio. Hope you had a good time....

Nice sounding mix right from the start - bass guitar was "wide" and fat and guitars had a nice smooth feel to them. Nice drum mix too.

The mix gets really compressed during the fast parts - but that keeps the mix consistent in volume - really noticeable on the guitar tone. Not a bad thing - just an observation.

The vocals are not perfect but then they aren't that bad either. Shoot our vocalist sucked way worse at 16 years old (but man he could strut). I don't have problems with the vocals....just keep working at it....

I think I'd be pretty happy with the outcome....

Got any more? - post them when you get a chance :D :D :D

BTW - any links to the studio - that would be cool to see - any photos?

Nice song. He does fine for 15, I like the slow parts of the song quite a bit, looking forward to hearing you guys progress.

In the british electro disco era singing a litle flat was the fashion - Communards, Bronski Beat etc (yeah - same singer in those 2).
The effect on your song isn't too bad - it makes it sound youthfull & nasal/snotty in both ways.
Sometimes the melodic bass and the guitar blur notes with each other - perhaps a different tone or some EQ ing of the bassor guitar for those passages.
Nice work - enjoy the buzz.

Hey kid great job! You guys have come a long way. Hats off to the ME, he did a good job for you guys. I think the singing fits the song perfectly after all it's "This is who I am". The only thing I didn't care for much was the distortion on the guitar but he did a good job with what he had I'm sure.

Get out there and sell some of these as singles on a cd to raise some more cash to do those other songs. Best of luck to you.

thanks!

thanks man!! u guys have been giving great advice...u really think we can sell this as a single? to people??? thanks again

Yes - great idea NYMorningstar ! Sell your CD's and make some more money towards your next trip to the studio.

hmmm, i dont know what to say. the production, playing, and mixing is great. as for specifics, i personally dont particularly care for the guitar tone in the faster parts and the whole mushiness of the sound, but you guys are pretty tight. the slow parts sound pretty good but as mentioned already, the tones kind of get lost in eachother. the vocals are pretty bad, but they fit the whiny genre of 'emo' so it seems to work. overall id say you guys are doing pretty good and youre all way better than i was at 16. keep it up. :)

lol man

lol and our bassist is 14 years old lol hes been playing since age 10 lol we are all very dedicated...so we should just sell a cd with one song on it?? for how much?

Well, you 'll need to make up the cost of the CD itself and say a buck for each copy on top of that.

And shipping is extra :D

Do you take PayPal? :D :D :D :D

haha

i have no idea how much to charge for it lol what do u think?? lol ur joking right..u would buy it?? we dont have it copyrighted yet...

Sell it and a smile for 2$. Yeah, I'd buy it because it's for a good cause. Sell 1000 of them and that's $2000. It's a little bit of hustle but you do need to get those other tunes in the studio.

lol

yeah man thats a good idea... we have other songs that are dying to be heard...anyway when we copyright the song then well sell it... thanks again

The music is really good. Fan of the bass etc.

Vocals are horrible though.

:)

yeah hes gonna go in thursday and redo them hopefully hell get them right!! yeah the bass is pretty sick! flea-status
thanks for listening

Well, The first thing i notice at the start, Tune your guitar! I find this in so many people's tracks, the guitar isn't tuned good enough.

The singing, Try singing some parts again and mixing them with with the same words and doubleing in places. Sing more confidant! I don't want to use the word winey but its sounds like the singer here is wineing.

Thats my view. And why would you post on myspace? Of all things, myspace?

I guess

-Arik

yeah

first...im not the singer so ill tell him ur advice ..lol...why would i post it on myspace??? cause um i dont know why u ask that? lol
thanks for listening
