my acid studio isnt reconizing my soundcard/mixer...

hey im usin acid studio n i recent bought the audiophile 24/96 soundcard and a berhinger 1202 mixingboard, but i cant get these to function thru my acid studio, i have the mixer properly pluged into the soundcard, but my program just isnt reconisng them,

could it be acid studio is too basic for stuff like this and i need somthin like acid pro or one of the higher end programs instead of the 70 dollar program im using right now?

Any recording software should work. Have you selected the Audiophile in Windows?

yeah the card is all set up...

You need to start off simple to figure out what the problem is. Can you record from just the card (without the mixer) using Windows Sound Recorder?

i have nothin to connect a mic to the soundcard without the mixer, i have the mixer connected to the soundcard via tha 2 ins 2 outs rca plugs, and the mic connected to the mixer thru the mic cable plug in...

Do you have anything else with line outs, other than the mixer, that you can use for a temporary test - CD player, drum machine, synth?
