Hi guys,
I've got a Guillemot Maxi Studio ISIS soundcard with the external rack for the 8 ins and 4 outs. It has an onboard sampler, but whenever I try and load up it's sound memory manager, it says "MXMIDI32.DLL, check the file to determine the problem". I need the soundbank manager to work so I can import new midi sounds!! Help!!! please e-mail me if you know the solution. thanks

Have you had a look to make sure you've got that file? It should be in either the directory you installed the s/w in, or more likely, in the C:\windows\system32 (fro Win95) or c:\Winnt\system23 (fro WinNT). Not sure where it would be on Win2000.

Also, there are probably updated drivers/software, so go to the Guillemot site and see what's on offer. Upgrading to the latest drivers etc should fix you're problem. It doesn't come up on the Microsoft DLL database, so it will be a Guillemot problem. Worst case, give them a ring/email/drop round and hassle them.

Hi mate
(sorry just saw your post) :D
got the same card and had the same trouble
I bet your running *95* if it was *98* it would work straight away cause your missing some update DLL files

Gaff's right get the drivers from here... http://www.sound-music.com/isis/frames.htm

if youve got 95 on put explorer 4 on u need it for an update...

And dont get ver 1.6 Ive got ver 1.4 and it works also I see 1.8 is out It probably wont work either but its worth a try.

Make sure you put the driver on then when it asks for the driver direct it to where you put the driver and not your ISIS CD Rom then once thats on install the update for the Maxi Studio software ...so your after 2 files off the site...

This one DISISSB-9X-18.EXE
and this one PISIS-9X-400.EXE

see ya :)

Tony
