Hi, I bought the MXL-V67 from Mars Music in July and I'm really satisfied with it. I've only compared it to the Akg C1000s and a Milab small membrane condenser (fairly similar to an Oktava MC012 with cardioid capsule, I'd think), but as a vocal mic, for acoustic guitar and as a mono overhead, it's a great improvement.
I'll follow this thread closely to see what others have to say about the V67, (especially Recording Engineer).
