Hi guys... Can anyone share their experience with the V67g?

I remember Harvey saying it was a nice mic; but I would like to have more comments from other owners...

Any comments? Pros? Cons?

Thanks!

Julian,
I have several of them.
They are a good all around vocal mic. They sound decent to good on most everyones voice.
They are gutsy but not overly bright and hashy. I have not found a really great match for them with instruments yet,but they are good for vocals.

I have a clip of a local band doing songs like Word up and Love Shack.
They are a little on the scary side if you know what I mean, not sure if they would help or not.
:)

I have one and for the money its a great vocal mic. I also use it as a overhead on drums once in a while and it does a great job there also.
If your budget is a hundred bucks you cant beat it

I use a pair for acoustic guitar. I find them a little darker, than say the Naiants I have. I always have to EQ, to bring up the highs a little more than I want to. I should also say that I have the MXL67B model. But from what I've heard they are identical except the color.

Here's you a link if you want to hear them on acoustic. 80 Days

Should either be the first or second song. Been a while since I looked at the page. :o

Super playing.

What are the mic placements?

I have one and love it to pieces, through my firepod it sounds great, I hate the looks of it, but it still sounds good on my voice, I tracked a lot of vocals with it on three albums and I have to say it still sounds good on my voice, though now I have a MXL 960 to go with it.

The thing I liked was the low mid sounds and with a close miced vocal it really gave off a nice crooner sound.

I have a v67g and I love it

I record hip-hop vocals with it thru an Edirol UA-25 interface

My recording environment is far less than ideal and it still sounds great!!
