Hey guys,
I have been using an MXL-v67g as an overhead for the drum kit, . .recording in mono-- Initially, it sounds great! However, the other day, I needed to switch out the boom stand, and when I replaced the mic, . it sounded a little tinny, and thin. Now, I made sure that the mic is the same height, and pointing in the same direction. But, the only thing that might be different is that, when I replaced the mic back on the stand and slid it into the mic holder, . I might have twisted the entire mic slightly differently then it was before, . . .can this change, . .effect of the sound that much, . . ?
